i use normal nailpolish for all my designs (so no acrilic paint), and small nailart brushes (i buy them on ebay).
my favourite nailpolish brand is Rimmel london, they have well opaque polishes, and i like the consistence of the polish. I also like OPI and China glaze (but they are more expensive to buy)
I clean my nails with nailpolish remover from sephora (it is a little bottle where you put your finger in, wait for 5 seconds, and the nailpolish is gone)
